South Carolina Chesterfield County McBee
McBee is located in the southwestern tip of
Chesterfield County at the junction of US 1 and SC 151.
Between 1900 – 1971 Seaboard Air Line trains on the
Columbia to
Cheraw route used McBee's depot for passengers and freight. Today, the train station houses the
McBee Library and Railroad Museum which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Cheraw is the largest city in McBee's own Chesterfield County but
Hartsville, across the
Darlington County line, is just a little larger and just a little closer to McBee.
Here are maps of the
Cheraw area and of the
Hartsville area.
