SCIWAY News No. 64 – April 2009Previous Issues of SCIWAY News In This Issue1. SC Picture of the MonthPineapple motifs represent hospitality, and this fountain is a focal point of Charleston's Waterfront Park. The park also features a larger splash fountain, where children play during hot Lowcountry summers. Another highlight is the park's long pier, where residents and visitors can walk, fish, picnic, or swing.
Our April Photo of the Month was sent to us by Alan Tobey from California, who vacationed here in 2007. 2. What's New with SCIWAY News?Starting this month, we'll be sending SCIWAY News in two short issues instead of one long one. One issue – like this one – will be published the third week of the month and will include our complete SC Calendar of Events for the following month. It will also include our perennially popular Photo of the Month! Our other issue, published the first week of the month, will feature photos from our "SCIway on the Highway" roadtrips. Stay tuned in early April for shots from Georgetown and Awendaw. We hope that breaking SCIWAY News into two will help make it more manageable and reader-friendly for all of you!
