Happy July 4th South Carolina!

In celebration of our country's independence, we bring you this patriotic shot from the lovely small town of Adams Run. We also feature links to great July events going on in our state, including ways you can enjoy some fireworks and fun for the fourth!

SC Photo of the Month – Adams Run Post Office in Charleston County

Adams Run is a small community located in Charleston County. Its patriotic post office can be found at 5190 SC 174, underneath beautiful, shady oak trees.

Scenic and rural, Adams Run is also rich in history. Originally called Adamsville, the area is home to several historic plantations including Grove Plantation, Summit Plantation, and Willtown Bluff Plantation. The lovely Christ Church, located just a few hundred yards from this post office, was organized in 1835.

Patriots Point Fourth of July Blast
Mt Pleasant – July 4, 2012

Lowcountry residents and visitors to Charleston are abuzz with excitement for the Fourth of July Blast at Patriots Point. This year's celebration will feature 8-inch firework shells shot from a barge in the Cooper River, making Patriots Point's fireworks display the most spectacular in South Carolina. Food and beverages from local vendors will be available for purchase and there will be lots of entertainment for the kids.
