South Carolina SC History SC Nobel Prize Winners The Nobel Prize is an international award founded in 1901 to honor the bequest of Alfred Nobel. Every year since, the Nobel Prize has been awarded for accomplishments in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, economics, and peace.
