Lockhart, South Carolina

South Carolina Union County Lockhart Lockhart is located in Union County. There are two stories about how this community got its name. One is that it was named for James Lockhart, a miller who established the first gristmill in the area. An older tradition says that antlers of two deer were found locked together, the animals evidently having perished in a fight.
