Greenville, South Carolina – Paris Mountain State Park

Steven Faucette of Williamston took this photo of the old valve tower at Paris Mountain State Park in July 2008.
Located just a few miles north of Greenville, Paris Mountain State Park was established in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The land was originally used by the Greenville Water System as the site of its first reservoir built in 1890. The dam is still there and so is the old valve house in the photo below.
