Surfside Beach, South Carolina – Surfside Pier

This photo of the incoming tide at Surfside Pier was taken by Nena Barnett of Simpsonville in July 2007.

Nena writes: "My family and I were on vacation together this past July 4th week. Our oldest daughter and I love walking on the beach early in the morning and watch the sun rise. I took this picture because her boyfriend had proposed to her the night before at this point. I am making her a photo collage for her to remember this special night."

Surfside Pier is open from 6am to 11pm daily.
