Kiawah Island, South Carolina – Marsh

This picture of a marsh scene reminds us all of the serenity granted by unspoiled nature. It was taken in September 2006 by Laura Beane, visiting Kiawah on her honeymoon.

Laura describes her stay: "Kiawah Island is one of the most romantic places I have ever visited. My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful private beaches, golf courses and biking on the island. The wildlife on the island is abundant. We were provided with a wildlife book upon our arrival to the island. We enjoyed identifying and learning about the wildlife that calls the South Carolina Lowcountry home. South Carolina is a state rich with beauty and a compelling history. I highly recommend it as a vacation destination. We found this state to truly live up to its reputation of Southern Hospitality."
